Chinese carvings often incorporate symbols for good luck, prosperity and other positive wishes. Qilin or Chi Lin is a Chinese unicorn with a dragon’s head on the body of a horse. This Qilin carries a fan, gourd, fly whisk, flute, lotuses, pomegranates and bamboo tubes --all symbols of fortune and wealth.
